Dismissed Police Thieves

I read with amusement of the police authority dismissing four of their officers that robbed Ex president Jonathan of his household materials. I sarcastically refers to it as comic relief, dismissed like that, dismissed so that they can do the job full time. Why not prosecute them in court. The court would also find out what on earth will make an average Nigerian Police to steal what he was employed to protect. The last time police came calling to my house to rob me of my hard earned coins in the midnight , my courage only save my wives and daughters from being raped. This is what is happening all over the country. Who will report police to police. Is it because VIP was involved in this case. The entire system is being driven by bad governance and cannot give us anything better than this. Over 50 percent of officers in uniform either need psychiatric examination or are confirmed criminals. From appointment to posting to promotion and general administration is fraught with corruption, how can we have policemen as our friends. May God heal our Nation. Dr Olaiya Abideen Olaitan
